  • Role
    Serve as a member of the Senior Management. § Implement the strategic goals of the organization through day-to-day management of operations at the financial institution. § Oversee the following: IT, Human Resources, Training & Development, Adminstration, Credit and Quality & Business Excellence. § Perform supervisory duties and coordinate with the staff in all related areas of the company. § Maximize the effectiveness of branch network & systems. § Participate in and at times, lead strategy, policy formulation, procedure and process & control development and training. § Ensure that the company achieves agreed profitability levels, while remaining committed to client protection and social performance
  • Person Profile
    Preferably an MBA with an advanced degree in area related to finance. § Must have a track record in a senior management capacity (with an overall experience of 20+ years) with a financial institution, servicing the SME sector or involvement at a senior level in microfinance institutions or one providing advisory services to an MFI. §20+ years of direct experience preferably in micro finance, agri/rural or retail banking or financial institutions, FMCG, telecom, or other sectors with large outreach specially focusing on products for the bottom of the pyramid segments. § Depth of experience in credit operations, knowledge of bank and/or non-bank financial institution operations. § Strong skills in financial analysis, quality management, IT and human resources management. § Ability to lead, manage and coordinate large and multi-disciplinary teams. § Strong management skills; excellent negotiation and presentation skills. § Excellent leadership, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. § Drive change and innovations: Act with urgency for continuous improvement and with a bias towards action; promote development of robust breakthrough solutions; embrace and advocate innovations that improve results; § Develop others: give people challenging assignments to develop their capabilities; provide timely coaching, instruction and feedback, create an environment where failure is seen as an opportunity to learn.
